Who we are

City Workers for Palestine is a group of New York City public sector employees of all faiths and backgrounds that organizes across agencies in solidarity with the Palestinian people, who are undergoing a genocide in Gaza and have been resisting a brutal Israeli occupation for 75 years.

We refuse to stay silent while Mayor Adams and his administration show their unrelenting support for the State of Israel, while turning a blind eye to the increasing harassment of Arab and Muslim New Yorkers and retaliation against students and workers who support Palestinian liberation and condemn the genocide.

As workers who keep our city running, we recognize the power we have to hold our elected officials accountable. We honor the call of Palestinian trade unions for labor organizations in the United States to expose the extent of the war crimes committed against their people, to point to the complicity of our government in these crimes, and to put pressure on our decision-makers to halt military aid to Israel.

It is a painful irony to tout New York City as one of the most diverse and welcoming cities in the world while our institutions collaborate with a genocidal apartheid state. We demand that the Mayor and his administration do better.
